Air Speed wins in Warrnambool
Beulah’s Garry George enjoyed a strong start to the month. Meanwhile, local trainers Team Hartigan (Horsham), Ian Robinson (Avoca), and Andrea Gurry (Nhill) all landed a prize.

George struck at Warrnambool with Air Speed, while the remainder of the success was at Horsham, where litter mates Dynamite Betty and Dynamite Eric landed for the Hartigans, Pyrenees Ace for Robinson and Lektra Rodger for Gurry.
Last Tuesday, Horsham was the place to be, with three locals claiming victories.
Dynamite Betty for Hartigan’s was the first of these.
Betty began well and stalked the early leader Free State, it took every part of the long Horsham home straight to reel in Free State.
But Betty swooped on the post to get home by a length in the nice time of 23:46sec.
Fast forward to this week, and brother Dynamite Eric produced an eerily similar run to claim victory.
Beginning poorly, Eric railed well and straightened for home with some work to do, but on switching to the outside, he found another gear, storming down the outside gathering in the early leaders to land the prize in 23:42sec.
Pyrenees Ace for committee member Ian Robinson took time honours for the day when exploding from the boxes and putting the race to bed by the first corner.
Setting a cracking 10:17sec first section, Ace then cruised to a six-length victory in a flying 23:12sec.
Andrea Gurry then led in Lektra Roger, spearing to the front off the inside draw.
Roger had set up a race-winning lead by the time the greyhounds straightened for home.
Roger survived a late scare from the fast-finishing Paw Maud but held firm, stopping the clock in a fast 23:25sec.
Garry George hit the road to Warrnambool with his charge, Air Speed, and claimed victory over the 390m journey.
Beginning well from the wide draw, Air Speed was able to muster up quickly and cross the field on the first corner and dash away to a winning lead, cruising to a three-length win in a smart 21:89sec gallop.
