Owner Graham Draper said he’s been fascinated by the iconic brand since he was a child.

“I’ve definitely had Lego in my life for as long as I can remember,” he said.

“I’m in Wollongong – about nine years ago, I started doing a Lego exhibition down here to raise money for the local KidsWish charity.

“This will be our ninth year, and I've done almost $300,000 cash donation to them.

“It’s a local charity supporting disadvantaged kids here in the Illawarra.”

He said the decision to expand the show came out of the Covid lockdowns.

“I was doing a bit of building, and straight out of Covid, I decided to go full-time and create a business out of it,” Graham said.

He said the exhibition travelled extensively through New South Wales and Victoria it was always welcome to visit a new location.

“I've been to Ballarat, Wangaratta, Mildura, Shepparton, but this will be the first time in Horsham.”

Graham said the exhibition appealed to young and old, and there was something for everyone to take an interest in.

“Everybody's got their own preference,” he said.

“I do have quite a large model of the Lego Titanic.

“It's a custom-built model, and it's about three metres long, and people are quite in awe of the size of that, so that garners quite a bit of attention.

“That being said, there's lots of little models that get just as much attention if they have an association with the person looking at them.”

He added the exhibition wasn’t just about looking at the models.

“We do have some play tables – obviously the young ones love them, but the adults can get involved as well and just get creative and build their own sort of stuff,” Graham said.

“In general, people probably spend anywhere from an hour to four hours there; it all depends on the individual.

“There is lots to see (and) there's some Lego to buy. Or, you can sit down and relax and watch the kids play.”

Turn up at the Wimmera Lutheran College multipurpose hall on Trinity Drive on either Saturday, March 21, from 10am-4pm or Sunday, March 22, from 9.30am-2.30pm.
