Final chapter of the Jeparit Church
The Jeparit community and beyond have celebrated the life of the 100-year-old St Andrew's Uniting Church on August 17 as it officially closed its doors for the last time.

In the passage of time, the Methodist Church became St. Andrew’s Uniting Church at the union of three congregations.
On August 17, 2025, one hundred years after the laying of the foundation stone, a centenary celebration service was conducted by ministers Rob Morgan and Russell Dunlop to a congregation of more than 140 people who had been involved with the church over the years.
The other part of this combined service was led by Presbytery representative Scott Harrison who performed the official act closing the church building as a place of worship.
Following the service, most attendees from as far as South Australia and many parts of Victoria moved to the Jeparit Memorial Hall for lunch and much reminiscing.
A cake, made by Sheryl McKenzie, was cut by Margaret Preston, who is the oldest member of the congregation.
A publication covering the history and some personal stories, compiled by local Simon King and specially labelled bottles of wine were available for purchase as souvenirs of the occasion.
