Gurry, Fullertons have big weeks

Andrea Gurry (Nhill) and the Fullerton team (Red Cliffs) have had massive weeks with the lead and collar, with Gurry landing three victories and the Fullerton’s a Tuesday night double while Paul Hammerstein (Ararat) and Peter Carter (Horsham) both trained individual winners.

Gurry went far and wide landing winners at three different meetings for the week.

Firstly, it was Ballarat when Perfect Tonight was an impressive winner over the 545m journey.

Jumping midfield he found early bother and had to settle midfield, he then made his move down the back straight, swooping into the corner in fourth position and straightening for home in front.

Perfect Tonight was simply awesome in the run to the line gapping his rivals to complete an impressive victory in 31:57sec.

Paw Olson then jumped at Warrnambool, landing second early Paw Olson stalked the early leader until half way down the home straight when he dropped into over drive and cruised to victory in 22:57sec.

Gurry finished the treble with victory at Horsham on Tuesday when Paw Glory mustered up impressively from the wide draw swooping on the early lead, Paw Glory went from strength to strength cruising to victory in 23:60sec.

Air Speed for Peter Carter, led all the way to break his maiden at Horsham on Tuesday greeting the judge in 23:47sec.

Nosey Parker was the first of the Fullerton double winning the Free For All event in impressive style, drawn wide Nosey carved across the field to pounce on the early lead, once on the lure he was never going to be run down cruising to victory in a slashing 23:27sec.

Dash Of Sally then made it a double for the Fullerton camp. Dash Of Sally also carved across from the wide draw taking the early lead, challenged late Sally held strong stopping the clock in 23:58sec.

The Paul Hammerstein prepared Is He Happy produced a great front running display to take victory in 23:54sec.
